On April 13-14, 2016, The Bay Institute held the first ever Action Summit titled Golden State Waters: San Francisco Bay and the World Ocean. The highly successful 2-day event included150 attendees, nine expert presentations, and six internationally known ocean and coastal leaders talking about action.
The waters on either side of the Golden Gate Bridge are some of the most biologically dynamic and productive in the world, hosting critical ecosystems, and supporting many important industries. Protecting our Bay, coast, and ocean resources is essential for both a healthy environment and a thriving economy.
